buffalo national river Arkansas Couples, engagements, wedding, and elopement photographer - a fall proposal

Bryan sent me an email about wanting to propose to his long time lover, Shelby. I was ecstatic to hear from him because we had met at a wedding I photographed early in the year. I fell in love with this couple on the dancefloor because of their sweet connection and energy. It was so much fun to document!

He reached out and said that he wanted it to be somewhere scenic. I sent him my Location Guide and he landed on Steel Creek Campground at the beautiful Buffalo National River. It is impossible to know when the peak fall foliage will be in the Ozarks, but generally it is at the end of October. We got insanely lucky with it hanging on to early November when our session was scheduled.

I offered to bring a blanket and some lanterns to guide him to a good spot upon their arrival. Instead, Bryan decided to just plan a date revolving around that picnic idea. It worked out perfectly. Shelby had a little suspicion when it came to getting dressed up for their picnic, but this didn't take away from the magic of the entire moment.

I watched from afar (felt so creepy, but you gotta do what you gotta do) and waited for the signal . Once Bryan signaled to me, I started photographing like crazy and scurried up to them to get her reaction. The goosebumps that I feel when looking at these images you guys... It was so beautiful. If you are looking for a photographer to help you plan and document the perfect proposal, it would truly be an honor! Head to my contact form and inquire about your proposal today.
